Later in life, Mr. Bradley would say that the 1961 band was his finest! I played first chair French Horn in both 1961 and 1962, and I think that there was very little difference in the quality of the two bands. Also, my parents led the band parents association during those two years, and our two, out-of-state trips made to concerts in Asheville and Pittsburg were awesome! I'm sure that Mr. Bradley was correct in his assessment of the 1961 band; but, my point is that there was very little difference between 1961 and 1962 (or any other year, for that matter!). The East Atlanta Elementary Band was probably the finest elementary school band that ever took the stage, for all time! So, please listen to the two recordings made in 1961 and 1962 and decide for yourselves.

Thank you for including the recordings of our most special concerts. The memories that are tied to the music are worth more than I can say. We were the luckiest children in Atlanta to be part of Mr. Bradley's band!

Yes, we were just ordinary kids who had an extraordinary opportunity to play beautiful music for Charlie Bradley! And, the recordings are tied to special memories for all of us! Thanks for your comments!
